“Everyone is welcome in my classes. All genders, all sexualities, all ages, all shapes, all size, all abilities, all ethnicities.
Although I can’t, as a renter, ensure that all studio spaces are accessible, the content for all recreational and beginning classes is intended for all to enjoy. I will do my very best to adapt to your individual needs. My classes are inclusive. I try very hard to build trust and community.
I make every effort to create and maintain safe space, and to protect your personal information. All registration forms in my independent classes are stored in a safe, secure manner, and none of your personal information is kept after the dance season has ended, excepting payment records. These records are stored in hardcopy only, under lock and key. There is no digital database to be stolen, sold, hacked or otherwise breached.
If you’ve subscribed to my newsletter, it is managed by Mail Chimp, a secure service that operates on the basis of consent, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
During session, I may contact you directly via email or phone if a class is cancelled, or regarding the upcoming session. I NEVER share, sell, or distribute personal information to anyone, at any time, for any reason.
Contact lists aren’t accessible to anyone but me. My copies of recreation/host studio program classlists are shredded immediately after session ends.
Some dance studios save the previous year’s registrations, and may telephone or email students before the beginning of the next dance session/season to remind them of classes. I’m not aware of any instance of these classlists being shared, sold, or distributed in any way.
On occasion, I may photograph students in class for promotional reasons. You may opt out. Media at our recitals and shows involves a consent/release form on a show-by-show basis. Students are invited to film choreography with the class members’ consent and footage is shared between students, who agree to keep the posts/links private within the class group. They are not to be shared in a wider forum, or with unregistered students. Currently, we use a secret Facebook group to share dance footage.
I want you to feel welcome and respected. If you have any questions or concerns,
please contact me.”
