NEW FOR 2007-2008
After attending Hadia's teacher training in June of this year, I am adjusting my level content/curricula with a new emphasis on Egyptian dance, reduction of American content (with the exception of veil), new warm-ups and cool-downs, new/different emphasis on certain aspects of technique and interpretation, and revision/redux of teaching techniques. Intermediate classes, in particular, will have new projects, new content, and every level will have a new choreography. This work in progress for both intermediate classes, but it's never too late to join!
My heartfelt thanks to Hadia for putting us all through our paces and waking us up to a better, safer, gentler way of dancing.
Level 2 students are working on an American veil piece and an Egyptian raks sharqi piece. Level 3/4 students are working on a raks sharqi/baladi piece and a baladi drum solo. Level 1 students will begin their choreography in January session.
